Engr. Atinuke Owolabi Hails Tinubu Over NCDC Appointment, Pledges Inclusive

Engr. (Dr.) Atinuke Wuraola Owolabi, FNSE, FNIEEE, has thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for appointing her as a Member of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), representing the South West.

After her swearing-in, she described the role as a privilege and pledged to work with fellow Board members and stakeholders under the Renewed Hope Agenda to deliver real development.

A Fellow of NSE and NIEEE, and past APWEN Lagos Chair, Owolabi is known for promoting STEM education, mentorship, and digital skills. She promised to bring innovation and collaboration to her new role, focusing on infrastructure, health, agriculture, education, renewable energy, and digital inclusion—while ensuring women and youth remain central to the Commission’s work.

She reaffirmed loyalty to President Tinubu’s vision and expressed confidence that the Commission will transform lives in the region.
