Peter Obi Donates ₦10m to Anambra Health College

Former Anambra governor and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has donated ₦10 million to Archbishop Charles Heerey College of Health Sciences and Technology, Nkpor, during the school’s 20th anniversary.

Obi urged students to take their studies seriously, stressing the global shortage of health professionals and Nigeria’s urgent need for competent hands. The provost, Rev. Sr. Dr. Maria Uzochukwu Ozor, praised Obi’s consistent support, noting his past contributions, including buses and a female hostel.

Obi also received an “Award of Excellence” for his impact on the institution.

The event ended with gratitude from the college leadership, prayers for Obi, and the unveiling of a commemorative book celebrating the school’s 20-year journey.
