US Jails Osun Monarch Over $4.2m COVID-19 Fraud ????????

Drama in Osun! The Apetu of Ipetumodu, Oba Joseph Olugbenga Oloyede, has been sentenced to 56 months in a U.S. prison for running a $4.2 million COVID-19 relief scam.
The monarch, who was living large in Ohio, is also to refund $4.4m, lose his mansion in Medina, and pay up an extra $96k traced to the fraud. After jail, he will still be under watch for another 3 years.
According to U.S. prosecutors, between 2020 and 2022, Oba Oloyede teamed up with Pastor Edward Oluwasanmi to file fake pandemic relief applications. The king alone pocketed about $1.7m, splashing it on land, property, and a luxury ride.
Pastor Oluwasanmi has already bagged 27 months behind bars earlier this year.
Authorities said the two shamelessly cashed out from funds meant to support struggling businesses during the pandemic.
