BREAKING: President Tinubu Orders Overhaul of Military Operations After Borno Massacre

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed a comprehensive overhaul of military operations in the North-East following the recent massacre of civilians in Borno State.

The President, in a strongly worded statement, described the incident as “unacceptable” and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to ending terrorism and restoring peace in the region.

Tinubu ordered the Chief of Defence Staff and Service Chiefs to immediately review existing counter-insurgency strategies, strengthen intelligence gathering, and intensify coordination among the armed forces.

“The tragic loss of innocent lives in Borno must mark a turning point. We cannot continue with business as usual,” the President declared.

He further assured Nigerians that victims’ families would receive support and that those behind the killings would be hunted down and brought to justice.

Security experts believe the directive may usher in major operational changes, including increased deployment of technology and renewed collaboration with local communities.

The Borno massacre, which claimed dozens of lives, has once again highlighted the fragility of security in the North-East despite years of military campaigns against insurgent groups.
