Dele Momodu: Opposition Leaders Outsmarted Tinubu Ahead of 2027
Prominent African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain, Dele Momodu, has claimed that leading opposition figures have outmaneuvered President Bola Tinubu’s administration in the buildup to the 2027 elections.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise programme, Momodu pointed to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, and former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi as key political actors who have deployed effective strategies to strengthen their influence.
According to him, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has been unsettled by these moves, and attempts to position Tinubu as a consensus candidate have been met with strong opposition maneuvers. Momodu further alleged that efforts to destabilize parties such as the PDP, NNPP, and Labour Party have not stopped opposition leaders from consolidating through alliances and strategic positioning.
