BREAKING NEWS: Tanker Explosion Sparks Panic at Iyana Isolo, Lagos

Lagos was thrown into confusion on Sunday evening after a fully loaded tanker fell and caught fire at Iyana Isolo inward Oshodi along the busy Apapa–Oshodi Expressway.

Eyewitnesses say the tanker suddenly lost balance, toppled, and burst into flames, sending thick black smoke into the sky and forcing hundreds of commuters to flee for safety.

Emergency authorities, including officials of LagosRescue, have been notified and are currently mobilizing to the scene to bring the situation under control. Firefighters and rescue teams are expected to arrive shortly.

Meanwhile, traffic in the area has been brought to a complete halt as security operatives redirect motorists to alternative routes.

So far, no casualties have been confirmed, but bystanders have described the scene as “chaotic” and “terrifying.”

Residents are advised to stay away from the axis until the fire is fully
