Governor Umo Eno Gifts Widow House, Awards Scholarship to Daughter

The people of Mbioto Ekpene Ituen in Etinan Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, were filled with excitement as Governor Umo Eno handed over a fully furnished two-bedroom bungalow to a widow, Madam Ekaette Ikon.

The governor also awarded a scholarship to her daughter, Miss Unwana Ikon, covering her education up to the university level. The gesture was carried out under the Arise Compassionate Home initiative, a pet project of the governor’s late wife, Patience Eno, which provides housing and support for widows and vulnerable families.

Governor Eno described the act as part of his administration’s commitment to alleviating hardship and giving hope to those in need. The beneficiary expressed heartfelt gratitude, while community members hailed the governor’s compassion and leadership.
