Peter Obi Meets Afenifere Leaders, Reaffirms Commitment to Inclusive Governance

Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has assured Nigerians that no region of the country will be neglected under his vision for leadership. Obi made the remarks during a meeting with leaders of the Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, in Lagos on Tuesday, September 17, 2025.

The talks centered on pressing national issues, including restructuring, economic revival, education, healthcare, and rural development. Obi highlighted Afenifere’s long-standing values of equity and justice, noting that his political philosophy aligns with the group’s commitment to fairness and national integration.

He emphasized that his focus remains on building an inclusive Nigeria where opportunities and development reach every part of the country. According to him, sustainable progress can only be achieved when no community is left behind.
