The Atasemanso Circuit Court in Kumasi, Ghana, has sentenced three Nigerians to a combined 96 years in prison for their role in a string of vehicle thefts across the Kumasi Metropolis.

The convicts — Francis Friday, Linus Agwazie, and Russell Ekenze — were found guilty of stealing multiple cars in coordinated operations that left several residents distressed.

Delivering judgment, the court handed each of them 32 years imprisonment, stressing that their actions endangered public safety and contributed to rising insecurity in the area.

The sentencing is part of Ghanaian authorities’ broader clampdown on cross-border criminal activities, with security agencies intensifying collaboration to tackle organized crime in the subregion.
