22-Year-Old Woman Arrested for Allegedly Stabbing Boyfriend in Limpopo

Authorities in Limpopo, South Africa, have arrested a 22-year-old woman in connection with the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend in the Giyani area.

According to preliminary reports, the suspect allegedly attacked 31-year-old Xichavo Ntsanwisi in the early hours of Monday, September 22, 2025, at a residence in Midrand, Giyani. Ntsanwisi, who was employed by the Greater Giyani Municipality, was found dead at the scene.

Police identified the suspect as Jo-Ann Ntokoto Mabasa, who has since been taken into custody. The motive behind the incident remains under investigation.

Law enforcement officials say the case highlights the growing concern over domestic violence in the province. The suspect is expected to appear in court soon to face charges of murder.
