Lagos Speaker Obasa Denies Declaring 2027 Ambition

Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has dismissed reports suggesting he had openly declared his intention to contest for a higher political office in the 2027 general elections.

Obasa clarified the issue following speculations that he had hinted at running for either the governorship of Lagos State or a senatorial seat during a television appearance. He stressed that his political future remains tied to the decisions of his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and that no official declaration has been made.
