NDLEA Cross River Commander Found Dead in Calabar Hotel
The Cross River State Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Ogbonna Maurice Uzoma, was found dead in his Calabar hotel room on Thursday, just one month after assuming office.
Uzoma, who was awaiting official accommodation, failed to show up for a scheduled assignment. Officers later discovered him lifeless after hotel staff gained access to his locked room.
The police have launched an investigation into the cause of death, while NDLEA Chairman, Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa (rtd.), has expressed condolences and ordered a zonal commander to support the probe.
