Gov. Alex Otti to Transform Ojukwu Bunker, War Museum into World-Class Tourism Hub

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has announced plans to transform the historic Ojukwu Bunker and the National War Museum in Umuahia into world-class tourist attractions.

The state government is working with the Federal Government and the National Commission for Museums and Monuments to revamp the sites, improve infrastructure, and provide better facilities for visitors.

Otti said the project is part of efforts to redevelop more than 50 heritage sites across Abia, boost tourism, create jobs, and preserve the state’s cultural history.

The Ojukwu Bunker and War Museum, which hold major significance from Nigeria’s civil war, are expected to become leading heritage tourism destinations once upgraded.
