Nigeria Police to Begin Nationwide Enforcement of Tinted Glass Permits October 2

The Nigeria Police Force has announced that it will commence full enforcement of the law on tinted glass permits across the country from October 2, 2025.

According to the Force, vehicle owners with tinted glasses must obtain official permits or risk arrest, prosecution, and possible seizure of their vehicles. The police explained that the measure is aimed at improving national security, curbing criminal activities, and ensuring compliance with traffic regulations.

Authorities advised motorists to regularize their documents before the enforcement date, noting that only permits issued by the police will be recognized as valid.

The Force also warned against the use of fake or forged permits, stressing that offenders will face the full weight of the law.
